taxes weren't even an issue until the gov't came to the masses and said "we need to tax you to fund the war. This is to fund the war and is not permanent". That was several decades ago. Taxes have not gone away. And to make matters worse, the gov't has totally mismanaged the tax income and used it to fund wars. Taxation needs to end on a federal level. There's nothing wrong with a "state" tax. Even libertarians would agree. More than half of gas prices is taxation alone. |
